271 to Bag First Class as University of Lagos (UNILAG) Graduates 12, 811


The University of Lagos says 12,811 students will move on from the school amid its 50th Convocation Ceremonies from April 1 to April 5.

The Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, who unveiled this at a pre-meeting news gathering on Wednesday in Lagos, said that 271 of the graduands will get first class degrees.
Ogundipe stated, "An aggregate of 12,811 students will get their degrees, recognitions and declarations at the current year's conference. Seven thousand four hundred six will get first degrees or recognitions, while 5,405 will get postgraduate degrees.

"I am glad to declare that 271 students would be granted five star degrees, with 56 are from the Faculty of Engineering."

The VC said 2,277 students would get below average upper degrees while 3,116 would get inferior lower degrees.

As per him, 1,197 will get second rate class degrees and 131 graduating with pass degrees, while 414 of the students will be respected with degrees or confirmations that were not arranged.

He additionally uncovered that privileged doctorate degrees would be given on the author of Zenith Bank, Mr Jim Ovia; previous Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Lateef Okunnu; and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya.
