NYSC to prosecute any corps member involved in election malpractice

The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Maj.- Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, has cautioned corps members to maintain a strategic distance from any type of race misbehavior as anybody got will be arraigned. 


Kazaure gave the notice in Ibadan on Tuesday amid his support and sensitisation visit to Oyo State in regard of the pending races. 

The chief general cautioned the corps members not to acknowledge any type of affectation, including cash from lawmakers, outsiders and individuals from people in general. 

He prompted them to dependably think about their condition and to be security-cognizant, saying that corps individuals taking an interest in race obligations must be in their NYSC uniform. 

"Your Identity cards must be on you; guarantee your telephones are revived with enough broadcast appointment; be outfitted with pocket notes; have the telephone quantities of your neighborhood government overseers and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs). 

"Peradventure there is any issue, ensure yourself first and answer to the closest police headquarters.

"INEC authorities will prepare you individuals and dress you with everything required for the races. After the preparation, they will choose the best among you; so be great represetatives of the plan, your family and Nigeria,'' Kazaure said. 

Additionally, the Chairman, Ibadan South-East Local Government, Mr. Abimbola Omiyale, guaranteed that the legislature would do its best to guarantee sufficient security of the corps individuals. 

"We are for the most part holding hands to ensure that the corps part who will work anyplace in the state, will be secured and that the race is brutal free," he said. 

Likewise, the Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Emiola Ambekemo, said the sensitisation was to remind the corps individuals that they should be reputable.
