Depression! It's real and very common

Depression is a very big problem in our society but guess what, a lot pay less attention to it. This disorder is a very common mental health issue especially in our University campuses. Leaving depression untreated is as dangerous as death because the end result of depression is death. 16 to 25 years is the prime age for this disorder. This is the more reason why this mental problem must be treated as soon as it is noticed. There are so many cases of University students ending up on the street in the name of insanity, mostly, it comes out from depression but friends, relatives around fail to pay attention to it and seek for treatment for the victim. In this part of the world, majority have little or no idea about depression,  when victims begin to show signs, acquaintances term it "unseriousness". I bet this has sent to many who are destined to uplift to society to the corners of the street picking papers. I term this ignorance, our people are ignorant of depression and it is fast killing us day by day. The sure solution to it is treatment.  The victim can visit the University health centre to see a specialist (a psychiatrist). The truth is that most of the University health centres we have around don't have such specialists in place. The victim can therefore be referred to a good psychiatric hospital.
